We’re seeking an outside sales representative who can develop a sales strategy to build new and expand current customer relationships. We support our sales team with the tools, training, management, and competitive compensation to ensure your success. Compensation: $65,000 at plan Responsibilities: Exceed monthly and quarterly revenue expectations and meet sales and lead generating activities goals to ensure future business Qualify prospective customers quickly by fact-finding to identify decision-makers, pain points, competition, budget, timeline, and other potential obstacles Position us as the clear and obvious choice in our market through competitive analysis and product trends Use your prospecting and follow-up skills with potential customers online, in-person, or on the phone to uncover potential upsells and new clients Secure new deals and target buyers quickly, give them the information they need to envision our brand and close deals efficiently What You’ll Do Proactively prospect and develop new client relationships Build long-term, trust-based relationships with individuals and families Conduct needs-based conversations around life insurance, protection, and financial planning Develop and grow your own client base through referrals, networking, and community outreach Receive ongoing training, coaching, and mentorship from experienced professionals Progress into advanced planning, leadership, or management opportunities over time Qualifications: You are an organized, detail and deadline-oriented self-starter who loves contributing your team’s goals Prefer a minimum of 2 years in outside sales experience Stellar communication, presentation, persuasion, interpersonal, and negotiating skills Proven track record in sales High school or equivalent diploma required; industry or product knowledge preferred Who We’re Looking For Prior sales, business development, or relationship-based experience Comfortable initiating conversations and prospecting for new business Strong communication, follow-up, and relationship-management skills Coachable, disciplined, and self-motivated Interest in long-term career growth with clear advancement and leadership opportunities Bilingual (Spanish and/or Portuguese) a strong plus Insurance license preferred or willingness to obtain (licensing support provided) Compensation & Benefits Performance-based compensation with significant growth potential Typical first-year earnings: $65,000–$90,000 Top performers earn $120,000 Medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits Training, licensing, and continuing education support Marketing tools, systems, and mentorship Performance-based career acceleration Why New York Life 180 years of stability and brand strength World-class training and professional development Business-minded environment with strong support Ability to build something of your own — with backing Defined upward mobility into senior advisor, leadership, and management roles About Company New York Life is a Fortune 100 company with a long history of doing good.
