Job Purpose Summary

Deliver Portable Airs budgeted revenue by developing new customer relationships and fostering existing relationships with portable HVAC customers (primarily Facility Managers, Government, Mechanical Contractors and Event & Temporary Structure Providers) while collaborating with administrative, sales, and operations peers (aligning with peers overseeing operations) to deliver and improve upon Portable Airs value proposition to its customers.

Top Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute territory plan to prospect, qualify, establish business fit, propose & close new business to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
  • Create custom power and HVAC solutions for current and potential customers in key market segments.
  • Expertly manage the contract negotiation process from inquiry to job completion.
  • Maintain up-to-date sales pipeline in SalesForce CRM and Outreach sales engagement platform
  • Create new and foster existing customer relationships to improve customer outcomes and gain greater share of wallet
  • Create new and foster existing key vendor relationships
  • Collaborate with sales peers, inside sales, and operations team to articulate, deliver and improve upon Portable Airs Equipment Sales process and Portable Airs value proposition to its customers. Top Accountabilities:

    • Customer satisfaction Key Tasks & Activities:
      • Prospect, qualify and manage new customer opportunities to meet customer needs and achieve territory business goals
      • Report sales and up-to-date customer activity using Salesforce CRM and Outreach sales engagement platform
      • Create custom climate control and energy solutions and profitably meet customer needs
      • Provide formal sales presentations to customer decision-makers and key stakeholders
      • Close opportunities within an appropriate time frame
      • Manage relationships with key customers and vendors
      • Manage and improve upon the equipment build process by working closely with teammates in Operations
      • Plan and participate in customer entertainment, trade shows, and business networking events
      • Attend meetings, sales events, and training sessions to maximize individual and team effectiveness REQUIREMENTS
        • The first step is to complete the Criteria Assessment which is emailed to selected candidates
        • Familiarity with closed-loop chiller and package unit HVAC systems
        • Familiarity with contract negotiation
        • Familiarity with the rental/portable HVAC industry is a plus
        • Excellent communication skills
        • Resilient with a proven sales track record of at least 5 years, or a combination of sales experience and a completed degree in business, engineering, or marketing
        • Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM
        • Proficiency with computer skills and G Suite
        • Strong presentation, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
