An IT SecurityAnalyst II is responsible for the day-to-day operations of thein-place security solutions, including the identification,investigation, and resolution of security breaches detected by thosesystems. Additional tasks may include involvement in theimplementation of new security solutions, participation in thecreation and or maintenance of documentation, as well asinvestigating and reporting on threats to Cobham systems. An ITSecurity Analyst II is expected to be aware of the enterprise'ssecurity goals as established by its stated policies, procedures,and guidelines and to actively work towards upholding those goals. IT Security Analyst II Responsibilities: Monitor all in-place security solutions for efficient andappropriate operations.Review logs and reports of all in-place devices, whether theybe under direct control (i.e., security tools) or not (i.e.,workstations, servers, network devices, etc.). Interpret theimplications of that activity and devise plans for appropriateresolution.Participate in investigations towards identifying root causefor alerted security events, escalating anomalous activity, andproposing tuning for frequent false positives.Provide detailed and complete reports on security events andincidents to leadership.Participate in identification of requirements for enterprisesecurity architecture enhancements, under the direction ofsenior IT Security team members and the IT Security Manager,where appropriate.Participate in the creation of enterprise security documents(policies, standards, baselines, guidelines and procedures)under the direction of the IT Security Manager or senior ITSecurity Analyst team members, where appropriate.Maintain up-to-date detailed knowledge of the IT securityindustry including awareness of new or revised securitysolutions, improved security processes, and the development ofnew attacks and threat vectors.Ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of thedata residing on or transmitted to/from/through Cobhamworkstations, servers and other systems and in databases andother data repositories.Ensure the enforcement of Cobham security requirementsincluding, but not limited to, Special Security Agreements(SSA), Export Control, and Controlled Unclassified Information(CUI).Maintain and/or audit operational configurations of allin-place security solutions as per the established baselines.Participate in the design and execution of vulnerabilityassessments, penetration tests, and security audits.Provide on-call support for end users for all in-placesecurity solutions.IT Security Analyst II Requirements: Bachelor's degree or applicable military or industryexperience.At least 2 years of experience in network, host, data,application, O/S systems environments as an IT Security Analyst,Cyber Security Analyst, Information Assurance Analyst, orInformation Security Engineer.An understanding of IP networking, networking protocols,IPsec, PKI, VPN's, firewalls, proxy services, DNS, email, accesslists, and SIEM solutions.Experience with SIEM alert review and triage.Experience with log analysis.Experience with Internet, web, application, and networksecurity investigative techniques.Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in ahigh-pressure environment.Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to conduct research into IT security issues andproducts as required.Ability to present ideas in business-friendly anduser-friendly language.Highly self-motivated and directed.Keen attention to detail.Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborativeenvironment.Selected applicant may be subject to a government securityinvestigation and must meet the eligibility requirements foraccess to classified information.IT Security Analyst II Preferred Experience with incident response.Experience with common automation practices and methods.Experience with network packet capture analysis.Proven ability to understand vulnerabilities at a technicallevel and capable of recommending and effectively communicatingmitigation strategy.Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.One or more of the following certifications preferred GIAC Security Essentials CertificationGIAC Certified Incident HandlerGIAC Certified Forensic AnalystGIAC Certified Enterprise DefenderCisco Certified Network Professional-SecurityCompTIA Security+EC-Council Certified Ethical HackerISACA Certified Information Security Auditor(ISC)2 SSCP(ISC)2 CISSPExperience with US Federal regulations including: NIST,FISMA, DFARS.Cobham is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer andembraces diversity in our employee population (M/F/D/V)Security: All applicants must be a U.S Citizen or U.S Person as defined byITAR (a lawful permanent resident or someone who is a protectedindividual as defined by 8 U.S.C.1324b(a)(3)).
