This role is located in Melbourne, FL. This role may be filled at the Principal OR Senior Principal level In this role, you will be responsible for the structural design related to a Flying Test Bed aircraft on a Priority Win Capture Program. This position will report to the Flying Test Bed Program Manager. This role may require occasional travel for on-site support at product manufacturing and integration sites.Key Responsibilities:The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.Utilize the NX-TeamCenter tool suite in the design primary and secondary aircraft structural parts, assemblies, and installations using metallic and/or composite materials for new aircraft design and/or modifications to existing aircraft.Work within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment, interfacing with IPT leadership, suppliers, customers, and other technical disciplines to engineer design solutions to challenging problems through the development of Product Definition Packages.Coordinate and collaborate with relevant stakeholder to ensure robust and maintainable configurations are produced.Evaluate and verify requirements to ensure airworthiness criteria are met.Attend internal program, customer and/or supplier technical exchange meetings and/or formal program milestone reviews to provide and/or obtain progress status updates.Effectively present complex technical data and findings to internal and external customersWork with Mission Systems IPT to define the requirements for structural designsEnsure compliance with FAA (Part 91) and customer airworthiness requirements for FTB projects and modificationsWe offer flexible work arrangements, 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off, phenomenal learning opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers, and a very friendly team environment. We are looking for self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented people to help us grow our services and become even better at what we do.Basic Qualifications (Principal):Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a Science Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline AND 5 years of related professional/military experience OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 3 years of related professional/military experience OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 0 years of related professional/military experienceExperience designing aircraft primary and/or secondary structures using metallic and/or composite materials.Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employmentBasic Qualifications (Senior Principal):Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a Science Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline AND 9 years of related professional/military experience OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 7 years of related professional/military experience OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 4 years of related professional/military experienceExperience designing aircraft primary and/or secondary structures using metallic and/or composite materials.Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employmentPreferred Qualifications:Current, active, in-scope DoD Top Secret security clearanceBachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineer preferred.Experience creating and developing preliminary engineering designs and layouts.Experience with industry standard design tools and processes including NX Solid Modelling, CAD, CATIA V5, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) is advantageous.Proficiency with TeamCenter.Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.Salary Range: $90,400 USD - $135,600 USDSalary Range 2: $112,000 USD - $168,000 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
