part of a diverse and hardworking team of EHS specialists, you will
assist in the implementation of all Environmental, Health and
Safety programs at the Manufacturing Complex. Technical safety
program areas include, but not limited to: fall protection, powered
industrial trucks, confined space, crane safety, hazard
communication, lock out / tag out, etc. You must have a passion for
continuous improvement of a safety culture and building agile
safety processes. You will oversee waste disposal and remediation
work including hazardous and non-hazardous waste; ensure compliance
with environmental regulations, launch complex compliance auditing;
execute the emergency response plans; indoctrinate in-field
employees and contractors on our Safety Program through both
training and participation in hazardous operations; assist in
investigations of injuries and illnesses, as well as near misses;
and support the development of job hazard analyses as
appropriate.We are looking for someone to apply their technical

Responsibilities:
- Assist EHS Management in supporting on-site compliance at the
New Glenn rocket manufacturing complex.
- Support hazardous and non-hazardous process waste stream
management along with recycling initiatives.
- Conduct daily compliance inspections to ensure compliance with
the Blue Origin Health and Safety programs.
- Execution of emergency response plans.
- Indoctrinate employees and contractors on our Safety
Program.
- Assist in investigations of injuries and illnesses, as well as
near misses.
- Deliver EHS training.
- Serve as site focal point for safety issues and concerns.
- Administer personal protective equipment as required per job
hazard analysis documents. Supporting development of job hazard
analyses.
- Perform periodic audits of our EHS Programs.
- Knowledge of applicable safety and environmental
regulations.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional

Qualifications:
- This is an entry to mid-level position
- Associate degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related
field required; 3-5 years of industry-related experience
preferred
- Must successfully complete RCRA and DOT training within six
months of the position for hazardous waste storage, disposal, and
transportation
- Must be willing to obtain other certifications including
forklift and First Aid/CPR/AED
- Knowledge of applicable safety and environmental
regulations
- Knowledge of local, state and federal laws/environmental,
health and safety regulatory compliance
- Self-starter and team player with excellent communication and
interpersonal skills that is able to build relationships with
employees at all levels
- Strong computer aptitude including the latest Microsoft Office
programs
- Strong self-management skills to keep on track with weekly and
monthly tasks
- Must be flexible and able to work all hours, including weekends
and off shifts as required
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to pass the security background check to work at
federal reservations.
- Based upon job duties, may need to work in various areas that
may cause exposure to fumes, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals (well
below OSHA exposure guidelines), outdoor weather, moving mechanical
parts.
- Must be able to qualify for and wear respiratory protection
equipment.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional

- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident
(current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as
a refugee or granted asylum.
Desired:
- 3-5 years in aerospace manufacturing operations
- 5 proven years in safety or environmental roles
- 1-3 years in aerospace industry
- Knowledge of Florida State safety and environmental
regulations
