This position will support our Global Supply Chain team and will be located in Melbourne, Florida. Position is based from our Melbourne, Florida office and provides an option for a hybrid-telecommute schedule. In office days are currently Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday to provide for collaboration and integration across the team. Essential Functions:

  • Sources and procures goods and services of a commodity nature from many suppliers
  • Initiates Requests for Quotations and Proposals and receives same, analyzing proposed pricing from potential suppliers
  • In conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules
  • Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required
  • Identifies opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations
  • Issues purchase orders
  • Manages performance of purchase orders, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations
  • Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities
  • Ensures that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded
  • Reviews and approves supplier payment as needed
  • Utilizes process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency and continuous improvementBasic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree or a High School Diploma/Equivalent with at least 4-year of experience in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, supplier management, and/or related professional experience
    • Experience with using Microsoft Office Products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level clearancePreferred Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's degree
      • Aerospace industry experience
      • Supply Chain or Procurement experience
      • FAR/DFAR or government contracts experience
      • Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems Salary Range: $45,000 USD - $66,400 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
