Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking Senior Principal International Trade Compliance Analyst (Level 4) to join our team of talented and diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will support Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems Sector based out of Melbourne, FL with options available at other Northrop Grumman office locations. This position requires the ability to work on-site in stated location with a Hybrid Telecommute schedule.Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Develops and manages comprehensive internal export and import controls to ensure compliance with US and foreign regulations in the conduct of international marketing, sales, supply chain and other business activities.
  • Establishes business processes for submitting to and obtaining from the US government all necessary export and import licenses, permits, certifications, and technology release determinations.
  • Establishes and maintains relations with appropriate government regulatory agencies.
  • Establishes operational processes for assuring trade compliance through gate reviews for technical data, foreign travel, foreign visits and export and import shipments.
  • Maintains applicable trade compliance records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Supports law department in investigating and resolving compliance problems, questions, or complaints.
  • Establishes and maintains training and audit assessment programs to ensure implementation and effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Generates performance metrics for export and import processes.Additional responsibility will include:
    • Drafts complex export authorizations
    • Develops export authorization strategies in coordination with technology release

      • Masters with 7 Years experience or Bachelors degree with 9 Years experience in the following areas: Export/import licensing and/or compliance in relevant field (e.g., Trade Compliance, Contracts/Subcontracts, Legal, etc.), trade compliance, international contracts and/or direct industry related experience
      • Knowledge of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
      • Experience with Department of State (DDTC) and Department of Commerce (BIS) Export Licensing, use of ITAR exemptions and EAR exceptions, and/or Jurisdiction and Classification
      • Ability to travel domestic and international (
      • This position requires an Active DOD Secret Clearance
      • This position requires the ability to work on-site weekly in Melbourne, FL with a Hybrid Telecommute schedule.Preferred Qualifications:
        • Demonstrates ability to analyze and develop innovative solutions

          Salary Range: $89,800 USD - $134,600 USD

          Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
