This position is located in Melbourne, FL with a 9/80 work schedule, occasional travel and excellent career growth potential supporting the rapidly growing Manned Aircraft Design Center of Excellence.Subcontracts Team Lead, is responsible for providing subcontracting process and compliance requirements guidance to Subcontract Specialists, Supplier Management Teams and Integrated Product Team Leads. Provides subject matter expertise in all aspects of supplier and subcontract management. Works under general direction toward long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated. Performs independently with minimal management oversight.Sources and procures complex, specialized goods and services. Owns contractual management for the supplier. As part of a cross-functional team, candidate will monitor and manage schedule, cost, technical and quality performance of suppliers in support of US Government programs.Essential Functions:Responsible for subcontract sourcing, proposal evaluation, negotiation, award, execution, administration and closeout phasesAssesses supplier performance and regularly communicates feedback to Supplier LeadershipManages supplier performance throughout the subcontracting lifecycleEnsures compliance with all FAR, DFARS and public law requirements, as well as company policies and proceduresIdentifies strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiationsCultivates and maintains strong working relationships with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholdersContributes to Program Risk and Opportunity managementUtilizes process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency and continuous improvementThe ideal candidate would thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and within collaborative team settings across all levels.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree with at least 10 years' of experience, or a Master's Degree with at least 8 years' of experience, or a High School Diploma/equivalent with at least 14 years' of experience; combined experience must be in Global Supply Chain, Procurement, Subcontracts Management, Business Management, and/or related fields.Minimum of 5 years' of Subcontracts, Procurement and/or Contracts experienceExperience with SAP or related business application softwareExperience with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) and DFARSMust hold an active In-Scope (granted / renewed within the past 6 years) DoD Secret level Security Clearance or higherPreferred Qualifications:Master's Degree in Business, Global Supply Chain or Project ManagementExperience working on high dollar development Subcontracts (i.e. $100M Cost Reimbursable Preferred)Negotiating skills with contract in excess of $100 millionExperience conducting oral presentations to senior leadershipPrevious Team Lead or Management experienceKnowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS)Previous Control Account Manager (CAM) experience or trainingWorking Level Knowledge of Business LawRisk mitigation experienceChange Management experienceIn-Scope DOD Top Secret Security Clearance or higher that has been granted or renewed within the past 6 yearsSpecial Program AccessSalary Range: 89500 - 134300Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
