Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for an Open ArchitectureSystems Test Engineer 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL. Essential Functions: Design, development, and rapid prototyping of advanced airborne surveillance and battle management systems Analysis and development of change proposals to government open mission standards Technical leadership in the Open Architecture Collaborative Working Group Requirements analysis Provide technical support to Northrop Grumman Adopting Programs Requires 4 to 6 trips per year within the continental United States to support collaborative working group meetings The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. MELENG SITEASBasic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of test and/or integration engineering experience OR Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 3 years of test and/or integration engineering experience OR PhD Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university A current DoD Secret level security clearance, to include a Single Scope Background Investigation, a periodic reinvestigation, or an original adjudication date completed within the last 6 years Must be able to obtain and maintain program access Preferred Qualifications: Program Access A current Top Secret/SCI level security clearance, to include a Single Scope Background Investigation, a periodic reinvestigation, or an original adjudication date completed within the last 6 years Experience working on Open Architectures Experience with XML Schemas Experience in US Government Working Groups and/or Consortiums Experience with implementing and/or proposing changes to government standards Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
