Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a highly motivated Principal
Lab Operations Engineer -to join our team of qualified, diverse
individuals within our Test & Evaluation organization. This role is
located in Melbourne, FL. In this role, you will be responsible for
developing and executing of lab system procedures to support the
testing of sequential software builds. You will join our team which
is responsible for the integration of aircraft systems and
subsystems into a Lab environment supporting aircraft capabilities
and functions. Key Responsibilities may include, but are not
limited to:
- Utilizing systems and subsystems requirements.
- Assist in the development of lab requirements and
procedures.
- Execute integration activities in a lab environment.
- Evaluate mission systems functionality.
- Frequently utilizing the principles and disciplines of lab
engineering including policies, procedures, process discipline,
operations, safety, and command media support.
- Support validation and verification of lab design and
requirements.
- Supporting the development test scripts, procedures, test
processes and execution.
- Review and evaluate data to confirm that results meet the
requirements.
- Document anomalies found during execution and support trouble
shooting to resolve all issues.The successful candidate will
possess an in-depth understanding of military aircraft
functionality and demonstrated lab integration experience with a
modern software intensive mission systems architecture. We offer

better at what we do. Basic Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology,
Engineering, or Math) discipline and 5 years of related
professional/military experience; OR a Master's Degree in a STEM
discipline and 3 years of related professional/military experience;
OR a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline and 1 year of related
professional/military experience.
- Experience working as an engineer in a system test lab
environment
- Experience creating, editing and executing test procedures
- Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated
government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required
for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined
by the company.Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with lab and flight test instrumentation and data
systems
- Understanding of air vehicle systems architecturesSalary Range:
$95,300 - $142,900The above salary range represents a general
guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors
when determining base salary offers such as the scope and
responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience,
education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the
position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift
differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as
well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in
Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term
Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of
benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability
