The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking an
experienced Network Administrator to join its dynamic team of
technical professionals. The qualified applicant will become part
of Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems support team in
Melbourne, FL. Note: Due to the classified nature of the work being
performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute
working options. Applicants are encouraged to apply, only if they
are willing to work on-site. Responsibilities will include but not
be limited to the following:
- Maintains smooth operation of LAN/WAN/VPNs.
- Plans, designs, configures, and installs network hardware in
support of customer requirements.
- Maintains technical expertise in all areas of networks and
computer hardware / software interconnection, as well a
interfacing, including -routers, multiplexers, firewalls, switches,
gateways, etc.
- Proposes solutions to management.
- Ensures all communication requirements (based on future needs
and current usage) are configured -to optimize cost savings.
- Creates and ensures that appropriate network documentation
exists, including operational instructions.
- Provides regular monitoring, and network analysis, regarding
short and long-range planning for systems.
- May coordinate third-party maintenance for network
equipment.
- Designs networks, or portions of networks, including -the
selection of hardware and software packages.Additional duties:
- Plan, manage and implement complex network designs in support
of customer requirements.
- Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require
the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
- Support network teams in project designs to clarify project
requirements, provide design solutions, in accordance with
standards.
- Perform troubleshooting analysis of network infrastructure and
associated systems.
- Document network hardware and software technology
components.
- Install and configure Cisco routers, switches and
firewalls.
- Implement and troubleshoot LAN technologies such as VLANs,
trunking (port tagging), spanning-tree and protocols.
- Provide third-level support and troubleshooting of network
problems. Periodically provide after-hours and weekend
support.
- Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises
considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of
assignment. Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long- term
perspective, for desired results.
- Implement and troubleshoot WAN technologies such as EIGRP, BGP,
OSPF, and telco circuits (T1, T3, OC3)
- Interface regularly with customers and manage customer
installation timelines and deliverables to help facilitate
successful deployments.
- Manage timely resolution of all critical and/or complex
problems meeting SLA requirements
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Visio, Project, PowerPoint
and Excel
- Lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds

qualifications listed below. Basic Qualifications for Level 3:
- Master's Degree with 3 years of experience; OR a bachelor's
degree with 5 years of experience; OR an associate's degree with 7
years of experience; OR a High School diploma (or equivalent) with
9 years of experience is required
- Must have a DOD 8570 IAT level II baseline certification
(example: Security+ CE)
- Candidates must have a current DOD Secret level security
clearance (at a minimum) in order to be considered
- Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, a DOD
Top Secret level security clearance as a condition of continued
employment
- Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain,
access to Special Programs as a condition of continued
employment
- Experience with designing and maintaining LAN/WAN based
networks
- Experience with managing routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and VRFs
on large/small LAN environments
- Experience with Cisco hardware/software (NX-OS, IOS-XE)
- Experience with Palo Alto hardware/software (PAN-OS)
- Experience troubleshooting/configuring virtual networking
(example: VMware ESXI virtual distributed switches)
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting TACLANES
- Experience with implementing DISA STIGs configurationsBasic
Qualifications for Level 4:
- Master's Degree with 6 years of experience; OR a bachelor's
degree with 8 years of experience; OR an associate's degree with 10
years of experience; OR a High School diploma (or equivalent) with
12 years of experience is required
- Must have a DOD 8570 IAT level II baseline certification

- Active Top Secret
- Professional certifications: Cisco CCNA, Palo Alto PCNSA, Cisco
CCNP, VMware VCP-NV
- Network design, analysis, and administration of routers,
switches, hubs, and firewalls
- Experience in configuring and troubleshooting NX-OS vPC
- Experience in the use of network appliances such as Cisco
Catalyst Center, Solarwinds, Cisco ISE, GEM One
- Experience with deploying and configuring VMware Cloud
Foundations, VMware NSX in brown/greenfield deployments
- Experience using agile methodologies with Atlassian suite
- Previous experience troubleshooting network procedures and best
practices; experience with network challenges associated with
systems integration, including COTS integration, capacity analysis
and system architecture design
- Demonstrated leadership skills, or previous management of small

$126,400Salary Range 2: $104,400 - $156,600The above salary range
represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers
a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the
scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's
experience, education, skills and current market
conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for
overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition
to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
