Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Staff System
Safety Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
This position will be *located in** Melbourne, FL*. .
The successful candidate will be proficient in aircraft systems and
operations as well as expert in hazard analysis techniques for
System Safety. This position will provide mentorship and partner
with team members to manage and complete safety tasking to include
analyzing architecture, design, software integration, and
development and maintenance of cutting-edge Open Architecture
systems on the U. S. Navy's E-2D Advance Hawkeye aircraft. You will
apply engineering principles to optimize all aspects of safety to
increase the operational effectiveness throughout the lifecycle of
the system.
The ideal candidate will understand modern programming languages,
software requirements and design patterns, and development
platforms and should have an interest in expanding their
understanding of avionics software development and systems
integration methodologies.
In this role, your responsibilities will include but are not
limited to the following:

*Salary Range: *$142,500 - $213,700
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however,
Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining
base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the
position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and
current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to
base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage,
life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays
and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
