Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal/Sr. Principal Systems Engineer - Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The position will be located in Melbourne, Florida. Basic Qualifications: --- Principal Systems Engineer - -Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with 5 years of experience in engineering; OR Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 3 years of experience in engineering; OR PhD in a STEM discipline. --- Sr. Principal Systems Engineer - Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 9 years of experience in engineering; OR Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 7 years of experience in engineering; OR PhD in a STEM discipline with 4 years of experience in engineering. --- Must have a DoD Secret to apply with the ability to obtain and maintain an interim Top Secret prior to starting, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs --- -Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance. --- -Experience with MIL-STD-464 or MIL-STD-461 - --- 2 years of experience in RF, Test or design engineering Preferred Qualifications:--- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with a specialty in Electromagnetics, RF, or analog circuitry.--- Experience with defense and aerospace industry practices, and programmatic skills supporting BOE, RFP, ROM, CAM, WBS, Risk assessments for E3 compliance is a plus for candidates.--- Ideal candidates can show extensive design experience with EMI filters, circuit layout and analysis for E3, shielding, lightning protection, cable and harnessing design.--- Candidates with working knowledge and experience in modeling and simulation of E3 using commercially available software is a plus.Salary Range: $92,600 - $139,000Salary Range 2: $114,900 - $172,300The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
