Technology is currently seeking a Material Handler. The selected
candidate will be part of a dynamic, growing, cross-functional, and
geographically distributed team. This position is located at our
Melbourne, Florida office with occasional overnight travel to our
Fairfax, Virginia headquarters. Your future team has worked
together to produce the following job description:The successful
candidate will be part of a team responsible for supporting daily
Supply Chain functions at a growing defense contractor. Duties and
responsibilities include:Supports and assists activities within
multiple warehouse and inventory control disciplines across the
Supply Chain and Production processes.Primarily responsible for the
manual movement, monitoring, and issuing of materials through
picking / pulling items to fill pick lists and support
Manufacturing Orders released by Production / Material
Planners.Additionally responsible for the storage, distribution,
inventory management, and records maintenance of material
itemsPerform required cycle counts of material and maintains
records as required to monitor and support inventory accuracyRead
and follow work orders and verbal instructions to ascertain
material items to be movedLoad, unload, and move materials within
or near warehouse, stockroom, storage facility, or manufacturing
floorLoad and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks,
and shelves by handProvide materials to and from inventory location
or worksites to designated areas to include the manufacturing floor
by use of hand truck, electric dolly, Forklift, or other toolCount,
weigh, and record materials moved or handled in an ERP
systemSupport / complete monthly, quarterly, yearly inventory
auditsAble to lift 50 pounds, use rolling ladder going up to 12
feet, and reach for items on shelvesAble to spend considerable time
standing, bending, and walking to and from the warehouse and other
areas / buildingsAbility to prioritize and multitask daily
workloadBasic working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel,
Outlook, etc.)Basic RequirementsUS citizenship due to contract
requirements and nature of the workAbility to obtain a SECRET
security clearance, due to the nature of the work and contract
requirementsHigh school diploma or GEDMinimum 2 years' experience
in a warehouse environment supporting the manufacturing
processValid Driver's License requiredPreferred
