ManTech's Air Force and Space Division is recruiting highly talented candidates to support a contract that provides support to the United States Space Force (USSF) and Space Systems Command (SSC), formerly Space Missile Systems Center (SMC), Launch Enterprise Directorate's - National Security Space Launch (NSSL) program.

We assist the Space Force by supporting a multitude of areas, including Systems Engineering & Integration, Acquisition & Program Management Support, Mission Integration Management, System Safety & Environmental Engineering, Systems Security & Information Assurance, Launch Schedule and Risk Management, Certification of New Entrant Launch Vehicles.

ManTech is seeking a talented and creative Field Innovation Officer to be located at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station Facilities in Florida.

The successful candidate will provide overall general support to a variety of tasks in support of systems engineering processes for the US Space Force Launch Enterprise Directorate.

The Field Innovation Officer will:

Provide innovation support to advance and enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and mission support capability of the mission areas supporting the 5th Space Launch Squadron
Assess and Evaluate existing processes for innovation and continuous improvement process opportunities and provide recommendation to the Government
Analyze alternate innovative solutions and processes for identified CONOPS, business model, co-creation, customer experience, and technology improvements
Monitor innovation and improvement projects and present regular progress reports to government leadership
Support squadron leadership and Innovation Officer project planning, development, execution, tracking, and reporting; and prepared to lead progress during absences

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM Discipline
10 years Continuous Improvement, Innovation/Software Development or Program Management/Digital Engineering experience.
1.5 years of Technical Project Management or Software Development/Digital Engineering experience may be accepted in lieu of each 1 year of education/degree requirement
Specialization in areas such as key communication efforts and technologies, digital tools and architectures, workflow or task automation, systems engineering, program management, strategic cloud-based computing platforms and applications, or ad hoc solutions.
Ability to work both independently and in team environment, and maintain a positive professional attitude
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, operational environment and react to real-world system outages by applying critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
U.S. Citizenship
Must have active DoD SECRET Clearance to start.

Preferred Qualifications:

An active TS/SCI clearance is desired.
Ability to work both independently and in team environment, and maintain a positive professional attitude
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, operational environment and react to real-world system outages by applying critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
Effective communication skills with ability to provide briefings to large groups and leadership

Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain stationary for up to 50% of the time.
