Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Staff System Test Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Integration and Test organization. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.As a Test Engineer, utilizing your understanding of system test, will be responsible for level I and level II system verification efforts, creating test procedures based on level I and level II requirements, developing an expert understanding of your assigned subsystems, and utilizing test infrastructure to dry run and execute system level verification.Key Responsibilities:Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraintsDevelops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systemsCoordinates integrated testing activitiesReviews and evaluates test requirements to insure completeness of test programPerforms technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluationsThis position will require occasionally working shift work and overtime. Additionally, the nature of this position requires individuals to be comfortable working full time in a classified development environment; cell phones or personal electronic devices are prohibited within these areas. We are looking for self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented people to help us grow our services and become even better at what we do.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline AND 14 years relevant experience OR Master's Degree in a STEM discipline AND 12 years relevant experience OR Doctorate Degree in a STEM discipline AND 9 years relevant experience.Must have experience in performing requirements analysis, developing/supporting test environment, integration and test, writing test plans, procedures and reports, verification and validation.Must have an active DoD SECRET or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access within a reasonable amount of time as deemed by the CompanyPreferred Qualifications:An active or ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret Clearance.Current Special Program AccessExperience supporting Test Execution as First Line Troubleshooter.Support Systems engineering to develop Verification Cross Reference Matrices.Able to collaborate in a team environment.Utilize Python to write automated system tests.Perform as the hardware responsible engineer for subsystems under test.Master's or Doctorate in a STEM discipline.Salary Range: $134,700 USD - $202,100 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
