This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.In this role, you will utilize your understanding of various networking hardware and software, electrical and computer systems, you will develop an expert understanding of your assigned subsystems, and the lab as a whole in how it supports the production and development environments for the Program.Key Responsibilities:Technical proficiency in multiple areas of hardware, networks, computer hardware and software, and interfacing technologiesEnsure networks and hardware assets are configured and ready to test by deploying software and configuring hardwareConfigure, build and troubleshoot advanced networks, hardware and communication systems in a laboratory environmentCollaborate with other engineers and lab users to ensure the lab meets test requirements and the needs of all stakeholders and coordinates integrated testing activitiesDeveloping and releasing engineering documentation for a detailed laboratory architecture and requirements baselineSupport Management and lab users on technical applications and best practicesProvides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet program needs, including present and future requirementsThe selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.We offer flexible work arrangements, 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off, phenomenal learning opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers, and a very friendly team environment. We are looking for self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented people to help us grow our services and become even better at what we do.Basic QualificationsBachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline AND 5 years relevant experience OR Master's Degree in a (STEM) discipline AND 3 years relevant experience OR a PhD AND 0 years of experienceMust have ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Red Hat and Linux AdministrationExperience with Windows, Active Directory, Linux, and VMWare configuration and troubleshooting.Expertise with IT infrastructure design, specifications, and equipment selectionFamiliarity with Electronic Principles, MIL STD protocol for 1553, 429, and 1394 bussesExperience with troubleshooting networks, fiber optics lines, RF systems, etcFamiliarity with avionics systems and equipmentSalary Range: $79,700 USD - $119,500 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
