As part of a hardworking team of diverse engineers, you will guide the development of the fully reusable next-generation New Glenn propulsion system. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership ability, and commitment to quality to help us achieve our goals in space. Passion for our mission and vision is required!Responsibilities:
    • Lead small team to develop and deliver flight-qualified fluid system hardware for launch vehicle propulsion systems
    • Work closely with parallel propulsion design, analysis, components, test, and supplier management teams
    • Engage and manage internal work efforts and external contracts with suppliers for development of fluid system hardware
    • Define development, qualification, and acceptance plans for fluid system hardware
    • Support development, qualification, and acceptance testing of propulsion systems and components
    • Manage fluid hardware development risks and mitigation approaches
    • Develop requests for proposals, statements of work, and project schedules
    • Support proposals relating to propulsion, fluids, and power systems
    • Document work in reports, memorandums, and briefingsQualifications:
      • 20+ years of experience in propulsion system development for launch vehicles or spacecraft
      • Passion for our mission: Millions of people living and working in space!
      • Minimum of a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar
      • Prior demonstrated successful experience in launch vehicle or spacecraft propulsion system development
      • Understanding of launch vehicle or spacecraft propulsion major components and subsystems such as engines, propellant feed systems, and pressurization
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
      • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
      • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylumDesired (but not required):
        • Proven launch vehicle cryogenic propulsion system development
        • Experience working on rapid development teams
        • Experience with aerospace quality management systems supporting propulsion hardware
        • Experience transitioning products from development to production
        • Prior conference or journal publications related to system engineering or propulsion
        • Prior patents demonstrating innovative fluid and thermal problem solving
        • Prior experience with proposal development and contract awardsThe expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.
