Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Staff
Radar Design & Integration Responsible Electronics Engineer to join
our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Electronics &
Payloads organization. This role is located in Melbourne FL.
Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Air Dominance Division is
developing advanced tactical aircraft for the current and future
battlespace.
Essential Functions:
- This role is for a Systems Engineer with an RF Sensors background
to define, specify, trace, and model requirements for the next
generation of advanced RF sensors. These sensor include but are not
limited to radar, electronic warfare, and multi-function
apertures.
- The Systems Engineer in this role will report to the RF Sensors &
Effects Lead and interface with the Mission Systems IPT's Lead
Systems Engineer as well as the Systems Engineering IPT. The role
will be focused on model-based systems engineering using Cameo.
- Experience with Cameo, DOORs, Rhapsody, writing requirements, and
tracing requirements through various levels (from Systems
Requirement Document down to Weapon System Specification down to
Segment Specifications down to Subsystem Specifications) is a
plus.
- Knowledge of electromagnetics in the RF spectrum (VHF through Ka
bands) is a plus
- Experience with sensor providers/suppliers is a plus.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND
14 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering
that includes a background in sensors, OR a Master's degree AND 12
years of related professional/military experience in Engineering
that includes a background in sensors, OR a Ph.D. AND 9 years of
related professional/military experience in Engineering that
includes a background in sensors.
- Must be interested in new business development and capture
related activities.
- Must have strong technical writing and communication skills, and
willingness to be flexible in evolving program environments.
- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance (or higher) that is
in-scope (granted or renewed within the last 6 years or in
continuous evaluation.
- Must be able to attain and maintain Special Program Access
(PAR/SAP).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active in-scope Top Secret clearance with current or previous
Special Program Access (PAR)
- Experience with Cameo, DOORs, Rhapsody, writing requirements, and
tracing requirements through various levels (from Systems
Requirement Document down to Weapon System Specification down to
Segment Specifications down to Subsystem Specifications)
- Knowledge of electromagnetics in the RF spectrum (VHF through Ka

Salary Range: $134,700 USD - $202,100 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to
base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
