Systems is hiring for a Systems Engineer- Project Engineering
located in Melbourne, FL. In this role the Project Engineer can
expect to provide engineering leadership, analysis, and execution
support for the development of innovative systems. Focus is on
change and technical integration of complex issues as well as how
our solutions affect our program costs and schedules.Essential
Functions:Complete understanding and wide application of Change
integration and management principle, theories, and concepts in the
field. General knowledge of other related disciplines.Displays
Technical and program review board leadership. Provides technical
solutions to a wide range of complex difficult problems. Solutions
are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with
organization objectives.Works under only general direction.
Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work
is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
Supports chief engineers in defect analysis and path
forwardsContributes to the completion of Change Proposal
Development and Risk Management and Opportunity analysis.Frequent
inter-organizational and outside customer contacts. Represents the
organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues
associated with specific projects.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor in
Science in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics)
and 2+ years of program/project management experience or a Master's
degree and 0 years of experienceAn active Secret DoD Clearance with
an investigation in the past 5 years and the ability to obtain
special program access prior to start.Preferred
Qualifications:Master's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology,
Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited
university OR Pursuing Master's degree, STEM field desired.Active,
In-scope DoD Top Secret or SCI clearance.Use and/or application of
technical principles, theories, and concepts.Demonstrates the skill
and ability to perform professional tasks.Develops recommended
solutions to technical problems as assigned.Experience in the
developmental/operational test maintenance environment: Aircraft
Design, Aircraft Avionics & Electrical Systems, Aircraft
TestingExperience as Project Manager/Program Engineer in Baseline
Management, Program Change, Change Integration, Risk and
Opportunity Management, and Risk Management Analysis.General
frequent use and application of technical standards, principles,
theories, concepts and techniques. Demonstrates the skill and
ability to perform moderately complex professional tasks.Provides
solutions to a variety of technical problems of increasing scope
and complexity as assigned. Work is reviewed for soundness of
technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy.Contributes to
the completion of milestones associated with specific
projects.Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
environment.Basic communication, analysis and problem solving
skills displayed. Noted contributions to program/project upon
completion of assigned tasks. Experience preparing and briefing
managers, senior program leadership and customers.Use and/or
application of technical principles, theories, and
concepts.Completes work satisfactory with for soundness of
technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy under general
supervision.Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications,
including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project.Salary Range:
$71,100 USD - $106,700 USDEmployees may be eligible for a
discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are
designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow
employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President
or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In
