Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector has an opening for a Staff Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals and lead the systems architecture design and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) efforts on military aircraft and mission systems. This position is located in Melbourne, FL.Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading the development of systems engineering models to capture architecture baselines
  • Accelerating systems engineering efforts on new capability development programs
  • Working as part of a team driving digital transformation to model-based practices within the enterprise
  • Must have excellent communication skills as frequent interactions with the customers and other IPTs are expected
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of system engineers in the areas of aircraft systems, weapons systems, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Must be a team player capable of applying their experience and leadership to add value to a common model-based engineering plan and approachBasic Qualifications:
    • Must have Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 14 years of related professional/military engineering experience, OR a Master's degree AND 12 years of related professional/military engineering experience, OR a Ph.D. degree AND 9 years of related professional/military engineering experience.
    • Must have experience using Cameo
    • Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher that was granted or renewed within in the last 6 years or is under continuous evaluation.
    • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR)Preferred Qualifications:
      • Experience in systems modeling and Cameo Enterprise Architecture
      • Systems engineering experience on military aircraft programs
      • Experience using Sparx
      • Experience with NATO Architecture Framework (NAF)
      • Current/Active Special Program Access (PAR)

        Salary Range: $134,700 USD - $202,100 USD

        Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
