Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Principal Systems Test Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida. Roles and Responsibilities The Melbourne Aircraft Design, Engineering and Test Department is looking for passionate and dedicated System Integration Test & Evaluation (SIT) Software Engineer to join our Lab System Test team in Melbourne, FL. The SIT Team is responsible for completing verification of system level hardware and software capabilities developed and integrated for a classified program. As a software engineer focused on automation you''ll be paving the way for level I and level II system test automation efforts. You''ll utilize your understanding of test to identify test cases as candidates for automation, identify the hardware and software required for that automation, and utilize the ATLAS framework to create the automation capabilities. Your knowledge of software will be utilized to create state of the art automation software that automates the execution of test and reports test results. Meleng; Sfwas, syseng;Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor''s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline and 5+ years'' experience OR Master''s Degree in a STEM discipline and 3+ years'' experience Must have an active U.S. Government security clearance at the DoD Secret or Top Secret level with a background investigation date within 6 years This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs Experience developing software using Python, C, C++, or C# Preferred Qualifications Current and active Top Secret Clearance Current and active Program Access Perform requirements analysis and decomposition including developing derived requirements as needed to test the system Operate within the agile framework Analyze, design, develop, test, modify and maintain software applications and support tools utilizing software engineering best practices and standards Participate in the full life-cycle activities of software development to include requirements, modeling, design, implementation, unit and integration test, release, installation and maintenance of software products Support advanced systems in a fast paced laboratory environment of hardware and software integration Participate in a process-oriented environment developing high quality products to our customers Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
