Principal Software Quality Engineer or Sr. Principal Software
Quality Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals
located in Melbourne, FL, at the Melbourne campus.
Telecommute/remote is not an option for this position. This
position's standard work schedule is a 9/80, to allow employees
every other Friday off.The Principal Software Quality/Sr. Principal
Software Quality Engineer will provide highly technical feedback
during code review to ensure compliance with standards and best
practices and that the code is correct, efficient, and
maintainable. They will implement tools that aid in the collection
and analysis of data relevant to Software Quality's statement of
work.The Principal Software Quality/Sr. Principal Software Quality
Engineer will also:Perform process audits of software development
processes to assure compliance to policies, both onsite and at
supplier sitesReview customer, system and software requirements to
ensure the flow down of requirements is complete and
unambiguousParticipate in contractual reviews and audits, program
meetings, and configuration control board meetingsExamine the
products associated with the preparation and configuration control
of software test environments to assess the team's readiness to
enter formal testingCollect and analyze quality metrics on software
activitiesPeer review software documents to ensure appropriate
content and adherence to standardsInterpret customer technical,
software, and quality requirements and ensure those requirements
are integrated into program plans, specifications, and product
documentsEnsure compliance with contract program, quality,
organizational, and industry alert requirementsProvide oversight in
discrepancy review and software failure investigations as well as
cause and corrective action determinations. Analyze and interpret
trends and execute improvements on key metrics.Facilitate thorough
root cause analysis on deficiencies and ensure appropriate
corrective actions are developed and implemented in a timely
mannerMonitor execution of formal software tests to ensure tests
are executed in accordance with approved test procedures,
requirements are fully verified, and that all test procedures and
software anomalies are documented and tracked to closureBasic
Qualifications:Principal Software Quality EngineerBachelor's degree
in Computer Science, Software Engineering, another STEM degree or
equivalent and at least 5 years of software experience or a
Master's degree in one of the above disciplines with 3 years of
experience or a PhD with 0 years of experienceExperience coding in
Java, C++, or PythonUnderstanding of software engineering
principles, practices, and theoriesAbility to understand and work
with multiple enterprise-wide systems and software problem tracking
tools such as DOORs, Jira, Confluence, and BitBucketKnowledge of
waterfall, spiral, or Agile life cyclesActive in-scope Secret
Clearance with ability to acquire and maintain Special Program
Access prior to startingSr. Principal Software Quality
EngineerBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software
Engineering, another STEM degree or equivalent and at least 9 years
of software experience or a Master's degree in one of the above
disciplines with 7 years of experience or a PhD with 4 years of
experienceExperience coding in Java, C++, or PythonUnderstanding of
software engineering principles, practices, and theoriesAbility to
understand and work with multiple enterprise-wide systems and
software problem tracking tools such as DOORs, Jira, Confluence,
and BitBucketKnowledge of waterfall, spiral, or Agile life
cyclesActive in-scope Secret Clearance with ability to acquire and
maintain Special Program Access prior to startingSalary Range:
$82,000 USD - $123,000 USDSalary Range 2: $101,600 USD - $152,400
USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition
to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
