seeking software engineers to join our Consumer Systems team that
will support software solutions development for our Sales and
Marketing group.As the member of this new software team, you will
work with users and business experts to implement key technology
initiatives.Successful candidates will be detail driven, and have
excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
Experience using and delivering marketing technology assets used by
commercial space companies is a plus. You should be passionate
about delivering a positive experience for internal customers and
quickly working towards quality software solutions while
contributing to team development through continuous process
improvement, and mentorship.Who we are:We are founding a web

presence. Our team will focus on building extraordinary digital
experiences that shares and expands our vision of millions of

communications, and experiences deliver the highest quality, most
engaging digital experience possible.What you'll Do:You will
research, plan, and implement the future of Blue Origin websites
and web content, while providing extraordinary engagement for our
current audiences today. Working with partners across the business,
you will learn what the primary needs, messages, and desires are in
our web presence, and plan and build an outstanding web platform
that allows immersive, creative, and speedy delivery of Blue Origin
news and content to the world. You will work in a high-energy,
fast-paced communications environment, directly impacting the
public's experience with Blue Origin.Responsibilities:
- Participate in exciting announcements and events by updating
Blue Origin's current web presence using our Content Management
System (CMS), participating in and supporting new website
deployments, and providing maintenance of the web platform
- Evaluate our current user engagement using data to understand
the effectiveness of our current products
- Working with technology and communications leadership,
research, architect, and plan future Digital Asset Management
solutions to grow Blue's capabilities in our asset management
practices
- Meet regularly with sales and communications partners to ensure
that current content meets the strategic needs of the business
- Evaluate current site visitors' behavior and patterns to
support improved engagement and user experience
- Analyze and manage current search engine optimization (SEO)
issues and efforts to support increased public engagement
- Create and maintain new and existing pages within our current
CMS to support ongoing communications
- Develop and implement new features within our current CMS (PHP
based) to meet ongoing partner needs
- Travel and off hours support may be required to support Blue
Origin eventsQualifications:
- Undeniable passion for space and space communication!
- At least 2years of demonstrated experience developing,
delivering, and maintaining web experiences (PHP, AWS, JavaScript,
HTML, CSS, React, etc.)
- Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals like
algorithms and common data structures.
- Ability to solve problems by writing efficient working code,
even when given incomplete or ambiguous requirements.
- Solid communication skills; open to the opinions of others, and
willing to own mistakes.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional
relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident
(current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as
a refugee or granted asylum.Desired:
- We deploy infrastructure on-premises and to Amazon Web Services
using systems like git, Docker, and Kubernetes. Let us know if you

- Some of our applications include rich user experiences in HTML,
CSS, and Javascript, using frameworks like React. If you've built
these, share your experiences with us.
- We learn from and guide each other. Share your experience
mentoring software engineers in a team setting, including design
and code review.
- Experience owning and operating Content Management Systems
(Wordpress, Drupal, Statamic, etc.)
- Knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or other web
