Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector has an opening for a Staff Software Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of developers working on multiple web applications
Drive software architecture and design between interconnected web applications responsible for data management, data processing, and system configuration.
Design and develop web application software for data management, data processing, and system configuration within multi-domain, multi-platform system integration laboratories
Analyze and interpret formal and informal customer requirements and generate corresponding lower-level requirements that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
Consult with customer stakeholders and present ideas in small group settings
Create innovative technical design in compliance with established requirements.
Build high-quality, fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical design
Define, implement, and document system test.
Perform troubleshooting as required.
Perform multiple platform system integration
Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
Ensures software standards are met. Basic Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor of Science degree AND 14 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering that includes a background in Software Engineering, OR a Master of Science degree AND 12 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering that includes a background in Software Engineering, OR a Ph.D. AND 9 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering that includes a background in Software Engineering.
Must have an active DoD Secret clearance (or higher) that was granted or renewed within the last 6 years or is under continuous evaluation.
Must be able to attain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) Preferred Qualifications STEM degree

AWS Cloud development experience Salary Range: $134,700 USD - $202,100 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
