Job Description:

The CMS Nextech software development team is looking for a scrum master to work alongside the development teams and key departmental leaders to establish vision, strategy, and roadmaps for all CMS software products. You will collaborate and interact with developers and key stakeholders within the company to directly impact the business and user day-to-day routines. You will also be responsible for maximizing the value produced by the development team through effective definition, prioritization, and management of features for development.This position is not remote for the first six 6 months and will need to be able to commute to our Corporate office.

  • Drive and lead planning, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives for your teams.
  • Provide vision and direction to the development team and stakeholders by creating and maintaining product requirements.
  • Ensure that the development team always has an adequate number of prepared tasks to work on.
  • Plan and prioritize product feature tasks.
  • Help define product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities.
  • Assess value, develop use cases, and prioritize tasks (stories, epics, etc.) to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.
  • Provide task management, task planning, and elaboration of the software development tasks.
  • Work closely with departmental leaders to create and maintain a product task list according to business value or ROI.
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments that are impacting the development team from completing their goals/tasks.
  • Create wire-frame designs and workflows for product features.
  • Test product releases and log issues for the development team.
  • Monitor the development team's progress and performance to ensure the completion of goals/tasks
  • Documentation of product features and workflows.
  • Natural leadership skills to display confidence, maintain strategic vision, inspire coworkers, and motivate team members.
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively conduct user research and interact with stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate smooth collaboration with stakeholders across the organization, including operations, customer service, central services, and finance.
  • Minimum two (2) years experience with SM+ software
  • Natural leadership skills to display confidence, maintain strategic vision, inspire coworkers, and motivate team members
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively conduct user research and interact with stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate smooth collaboration with stakeholders across the organization, including operations, customer service, central services, and finance
  • Ability to act with discretion, tact, and professionalism in all situations
  • Extreme attention to detail

  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively conduct user research and interact with stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate smooth collaboration with stakeholders across the organization, including operations, customer service, central services, and finance.
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 3+ years of related experience required
  • Strong background in software engineering as well as prior experience in product management
  • Prior experience in managing a product throughout its lifecycle
  • Strong problem solving and prioritization skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with change management process
  • Can work effectively with cross functional teams
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently or as part of a team
  • Physical requirements:
  • Continuously able to work in office environment
  • Continuously able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, telephone, and computer printer.
  • Continuously able to sit at a computer for up to 8 hours
  • Able to alternate between sitting and standing, as needed throughout the day
  • Occasionally able to lift to 15 lbs.
  • Continuously requires vision, hearing, twisting, and talking
  • Occasionally requires walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling, bending, and crouching
