Through our people, leadership development, services, technology and scale, Wabtec delivers better outcomes for global customers by speaking the language of industry.Job Overview:Software developer on Wabtec Flagship dispatch product called Precision Dispatch System (PDS).You will be responsible for developing software solutions for new functionality, remediating defects in existing functionality, evaluating and implementing COTS upgrades, and troubleshooting system wide production issues on Live customer installations.Additionally, you will act in the Agile scrum master role for small team responsible for the PDS software Infrastructure.Essential Responsibilities:In this role, you will:Develop high performing, scaling and innovative software using C++/Java/K-Shell Scripting languages for new functionality and defect fixes for the PDS.Analyze COTS software updates impact on the PDS and contribute to the implementation of the updates.Investigate system level production issues and provide quick turn analysis for remediation efforts.Develop and implement corrective actions to resolve system outages under high pressure environmentDevelop and execute manual tests that validate code changes or updates meet definition of done and does not break existing functionality.Consult with existing team and other Subject matter Experts to ensure developed code does not degrade PDS performance.Adhere to Wabtec support and Engineering processes and tools usagePerform scrum master role for team of 4Develop/maintain Agile user stories and defectsAll salaried new hires must be fully vaccinated or be willing to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, where permitted by applicable law and subject to requests for accommodation.
