Description: The Associate Coordinator Clinical Coordinator is responsible and accountable for providingQuality / No Harm, Customer Experience, and Stewardship by providing information services that consistently exceed our customers' expectations and support the corporate objectives of Health First, Inc. This position serves as a liaison between clinical end users and the Health Information Technology (HIT) team in the development, maintenance and use of the electronic health record (EHR). This associate performs application testing and training, documents configuration change requests and resolves security issues involved with the integration and use of the clinical software. Works directly with the clinical departments to review and document workflow and determine the best use of technology for those areas. Manages small or medium assignments with supervision.Primary AccountabilitiesMaintains a high level of security as it pertains to system access, computer usage, remote access and physical security in assigned areas of responsibility, abiding by established Health First Information Security policies and applicable HR policies and procedures.Competently manages all assigned projects following HF PMO guidelines.Knowledgeable in the HIT PMO application and procedures and competently utilizes the required forms and applications as designated by the PMO.Participates in application / system testing. Monitors and analyzes functionality and performance during testing, and communicates results to the appropriate project team members following through with issues to resolutionPerforms routine duties independently. Utilizes resources wisely when troubleshooting issues, handling routine and intermediate issues without management intervention. Escalates more complex issues as needed to CCI, SCCI or Manager as appropriate. Keeps Manager informed of status of activities and issues on a regular assigned schedule and in the appropriate format.Provides customer support within the priority and case closure standards as agreed to in the departmental Service Level Agreement documentation.Participates as requested in customer service training programs.Contributes to the analysis, planning and implementation of clinical information systems across the entire System Lifecycle as they relate to the promotion of an EHR, representing the interests of the medical staff, Patient Care Services, clinicians, HIT and other users of the system, based on knowledge of clinical practice, patient care standards, elements of good service, and cost effective/efficient measures. Demonstrates skill in integrating the design of the clinical documentation systems across disciplines, assuring that the application provides value to the clinicians.Collaborates with CSE, CPC's, users and other HIT liaisons in the coordination, development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical information systems education programs and the development of communication and marketing plans to clinicians and other users of the product.
Qualification: Associates degree from an accredited school of nursing, clinical informatics, health information systems, computer information system or a related field.Two-three years clinical experience, acute care setting preferredInformatics certification or other relevant area preferredCurrent state licensure in field, as appropriate
