Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/27/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Days, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Apr 27, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, Epic proficiency, and an active FL or compact RN license. Details - Hospital ICU setting - Patient ratio of 1:2-3 - Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) - Every other weekend required, or a total of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period based on unit needs - No on-call requirements - Floating required — traveler will have a home base but may float to other units or locations within the health system (Cape Canaveral, Holmes Regional, Palm Bay, or Viera) - Epic EMR experience required - 13-week contract Requirements - Active FL or compact RN license required — no pending licenses accepted - Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS - Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required - Epic EMR proficiency required - 2 professional references from authority figures (Manager, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Director) within the last year required for consideration Additional Information - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers — no radius restriction - Candidates who have previously worked an internal contracted position must wait 1 year after leaving before being eligible - Flu vaccine required between 10/31 and 3/31; medical and religious exemptions accepted - Holiday coverage will likely be required to meet unit scheduling needs - Scrubs must be a solid, single color — no mixed colors, logos, or prints - All time off and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront - Free parking provided with a decal issued at orientation - Timekeeping is done via Kronos using a badge swipe system American Traveler Job ID P-690754.
