Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with 2 years of medical-surgical telemetry (Med/Surg Tele) and PCU experience, valid FL or compact RN license, and ACLS/BCLS/NIHSS. Join a skilled acute care team at a community hospital near the Kennedy Space Center and the Indian River. Job Details - Location: Titusville, FL 32796 — Florida travel nurse opportunity / Titusville healthcare - Contract Length: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026) - Job Title: Med/Surg Tele RN / Telemetry RN / Travel RN - Estimated Weekly Pay: $1280-$1350 - Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (07:00 – 19:00) - Hours per Week: 36 - Unit: Mixed Med Surg, Med Surg Tele, and PCU (1.312 - MS/Tele) - Orientation: Mandatory clinical orientation week (5 shifts, 36-40 hours) - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend - Float Requirement: Yes, float within scope - Charting / EMR: Meditech - Parking & Perks: Free parking in unrestricted spaces, flexible scrub color, supportive interdisciplinary environment Qualifications / Job Requirements - Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg Tele RN experience (medical-surgical telemetry and PCU level patients) - Experience managing a 1:6 patient ratio with PCU acuity required - Valid Florida RN license or compact RN license in hand - Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS (BLS), NIHSS — must be certified or willing to obtain prior to start - Adult and geriatric patient care experience required - Telemetry RN experience required; cardiac drip experience preferred - Orthopedic and total joint replacement nursing care strongly preferred - Must reside more than 30 miles from facility (no local travelers) - Ability to float to other units within scope as needed - Complete pre-start modules (~4 hours) prior to assignment - COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered) Responsibilities - Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a mixed Med/Surg Tele and PCU unit as a Med/Surg Tele RN / Telemetry RN - Safely manage a 1:6 patient assignment, including PCU-level acuity - Monitor, interpret, and act on telemetry and cardiac rhythms; support cardiac telemetry workflows - Administer and manage cardiac drips (no titration), blood products, IV therapy, and medication administration per policy - Deliver orthopedic and total joint replacement nursing care, including post-op monitoring and mobility support - Perform wound care, tracheostomy management, chest tube care, and manage patients on BiPAP/CPAP/High Flow Nasal Cannula - Float to other units within scope as required and collaborate as a flexible travel RN team member - Work closely with interdisciplinary teams (PT, RT, pharmacy, rapid response) to ensure coordinated acute care - Complete mandatory orientation, pre-start modules, and required documentation in Meditech - Work required holiday shifts per contract guidelines Why Join Our Team - Opportunity for experienced travel nurses and Telemetry RNs to work in an acute care setting in Titusville, FL - Supportive interdisciplinary team and hands-on clinical orientation - Convenient access to the Kennedy Space Center, Indian River, and the Atlantic coast Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Med/Surg Tele RN Travel Nurse in Titusville, Florida.
