Job Title: Director, Talent ManagementJob Location: Melbourne, FLJob Code: CHQ-32315Job Description:The Director, Talent Management is responsible for the development and execution of the enterprise talent strategy and governance of Company-wide talent processes. Work streams include succession planning, executive development and high-potential management. This position manages a small team of talent management staff.* Responsible for the development/delivery of training and educational programs for executives and high-potential talent. Assignments may include needs analysis, custom course development, evaluation and learning assessment.* Partners with outside firms and university partners to offer custom learning solutions, coaching, and other development initiatives for executive and high-potential talent.* Leads the L3Harris Organization Talent Review (Succession Planning process), including establishing and managing standard work, training and coaching segment talent managers through the process, preparing talent review materials for the CEO, and tracking talent action plans to closure.* Leads the enterprise Talent Management Council consisting of talent management representatives from each business segment.* Facilitates the Enterprise Talent Council, a team of executive representatives from across the enterprise responsible for qualifying high potential talent for the executive succession talent pool (Team 2) and chaired by the VP, Human Resources, Talent & Inclusion Organization.* Manages the enterprise executive succession talent pool program. Tracks participant moves and promotions. Reports results to the Enterprise Talent Council.* Manages the enterprise mentoring program for the executive succession talent pool, facilitating effective pairing of mentors with mentees across the organization. Measures program effectiveness.* Oversees the enterprise High-Potential Professionals (Team 3) program. Tracks promotions against company internal promotion goals and mentor pairing. Reports monthly progress to the Human Resources Executive Committee.* Provides executive and successor talent analytics for trend analysis and strategic talent planning.* Creates and maintains various SharePoint sites.Qualifications:* Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 15 years related Talent Management experience.* Minimum 5 years of experience leading a team.Preferred Additional Skills:* Master's degree with a minimum of 10 years related Talent Management experience preferred.* Working knowledge of probability, statistical models and process control practices.* Ability to organize and execute plans methodically and work collaboratively and cooperatively across functions and business segments.* Experience working in the defense/aerospace/electronics industry.* Demonstrated success in leading large-scale talent initiatives.* Ability to operate in a semi-autonomous environment; setting strategy and direction, and executing against such with limited detailed instruction.* Exceptional MS Office skills, particularly with respect to Excel and PowerPoint.* Extreme attention to detail.* 6 Sigma Green Belt certification desired.Please be aware that many of our positions require a security clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
