after funding confirmation. Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems
has an opening for a Project Manager or Principal Project Manager
to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals driving high
quality program execution through their direct support and
performance as a member of the Program Operations & Integration
team. -This role is located in Melbourne, FL. Due to the nature of
the role, an on-site presence is required and cannot be performed
remotely. The position will follow our 9/80 schedule and allows
employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take
every other Friday off. - This is an individual contributor,
non-manager role with no direct reports. This requisition can be
used to fill multiple openings. The selected candidate can either
support the core Program Operations team or be deployed to an
Integrated Product Team. The successful candidate is expected to be
a highly motivated, resourceful, self-starter able to work
collaboratively with internal teams and external customers in
high-tempo environments. This role will actively work the Program
Management Office to integrate, control, and manage program
requirements to ensure success of a restricted program. You will
integrate the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as
liaison between program management, program integration and project
teams. This position will be expected to assist the program with
reviewing status of projects and budgets, resource planning,
preparing for and facilitating meetings, and supporting various
administrative functions tied to the PMO business rhythm. They
should be comfortable with applying analytical reasoning skills,
identifying continuous improvement opportunities in PMO operations,
dealing effectively with change and being a flexible team member,
and possess solid organizational abilities. Key roles and
responsibilities:
- Support the Program Management Office and Leadership to
accomplish a variety of precise, time-sensitive monthly
deliverables, metrics, and presentations
- Collaborate across Functions to ensure all objectives are
met
- Assist with monitoring progress, assessing project issues and
driving actions to closure to meet program goals and
objectives
- Perform program resource management, including coordination of
project staffing baselines and forecasts
- Facilitate Risk, Issue and Opportunity management
- Data synthesis, aggregation, analysis, and communication
- Organize knowledge sharing, assist with improvements to team
SharePoint site
- Promote team engagement activities including lunch and learns,
team recognition and organizational highlights
- Support new business proposals and facilitation
- Proactively manage strategic rhythm of the organization to
ensure preparedness for program and customer deadlines
- Drive a sense of urgency and act with speed to meet all needs
of the business and stakeholders
- Project and control account management
- Coordination across multiple disciplines and product teams
- Preparing status reports and maintaining detailed project
logs
- Assessing project issues and developing resolutions to meet
productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and
objectives
- Establish and maintain the program strategic rhythm
- Review change board packages and assess for potential
impacts
- Continuous process improvement focus
- Assist in development of program metrics and coordinate with
Tableau administrators to build products for the program
- Administration of Jira and Confluence sites; adhering to and
creating new process documentation and controls to ensure
configuration control of data
- Coordinate and manage program meetingsThis role may be filled
at a Project Manager or Principal Project Manager level based on
the qualifications below. Basic Qualifications for Project
Management:
- Bachelor's degree with 2 years' experience in project
management', OR Master's degree
- Experience with Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Word,
Excel)
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience working with and manipulating detail-oriented
data
- Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated
government Secret Clearance, and any program access(es) required
for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined
by the companyBasic Qualifications for Principal Project
Management:
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years' experience in project
management', OR Master's degree with 3 years' experience in project
management
- Experience with Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Word,
Excel)
- At least 2 years of experience leading a project and/or driving
performance against schedule
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience working with and manipulating detail-oriented
data
- Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated
government Secret Clearance, and any program access(es) required
for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined
by the companyPreferred Qualifications:
- Ability to influence and drive results without direct authority
of personnel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to
detail and accuracy
- At least 2 years of experience leading a project and/or driving
performance against scheduleSalary Range: $63,800 - $95,800Salary
Range 2: $78,700 - $118,100The above salary range represents a
general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of
factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and
responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience,
education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the
position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift
differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as
well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in
Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term
Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of
