you're in the right place! Pax Properties is looking for a Guest
Services Manager to join the team at their Melbourne All Suites
hotel in Melbourne, FL.As our Guest Services Manager it's your job
to make sure that our guests take advantage of our amenities and
that they have everything they need. Not all guests are as
forthcoming about their needs or curiosities, you will be their
go-to source of information related to the property and surrounding
areas. This is not a position you normally find in smaller hotels,
but at Pax, we believe that such luxuries should be available to
people on any budget.If hired, you will also be expected to
oversee, support, and guide all departments involved in guest
amenities. Your team will consist of different departments; all
with the unifying goal of working together to provide the best
possible experience for our guests. - -Responsibilities: -
- Oversee Guest Services operations including, but not limited,
to Breakfast, Front Desk, and Housekeeping, Night Management
- Evaluate Guest satisfaction levels and monitor trends with a
focus on continuous improvement
- Prepares work schedules to be posted on Thursdays in accordance
with forecasted occupancy
- Generates through proper supervision of assigned departments
projected revenue levels as well as guest satisfaction
- Participates in the development of short term and long term
financial and operational plans for the hotel
- Monitor the appearance, standards and performance of the Guest
Services Team with an emphasis on training and teamwork
- Ensure team members have an up-to-date knowledge of all room
categories and amenities
- Maintain good communication and work relationships in all hotel
areas and with external customers and suppliers
- Ensure staffing levels cover business demands
- Conducts monthly departmental training meetings in conjunction
with Pax Properties training requirements
- Meets assigned departmental budgets and monitors financial
statements
- Ensures proper handling of guest complaints
- Ensure communication meetings are conducted and post-meeting
minutes generated
- Recruit, manage, train and develop the Breakfast, Front Desk,
and Housekeeping areas
- Contribute to succession planning within the hotel and
company
- Responsible to ensure that Pax Hotel standards and Brand
Standards are met in all public areas and guest rooms
- Ensures security for hotel's assets
- Enters all invoices once they are coded into hotel checkbook
according to accounting practices
- Responsible for ordering supplies for all areas
- Conducts inventory for Front desk and Housekeeping
- Handles disciplinary action and counseling sessions as
necessary
- Ensure the department adhere to Pax policies and
procedures
- Handles Tax exempts, CLC and account receivable
- Attends the daily Executive Meeting Huddle or stand up with
General Manager
- Will cover shifts at the front desk or in housekeeping when
necessary
- Will be required to work MOD shifts as scheduled -Keep in mind,
you will be working with department heads and collaborate projects
and assignments together. You will be given as much autonomy as you
need to see that goals are met, but will also have the support of
the property's best and brightest. -Requirements:
- Must be able to work mornings, nights, and weekends
- When department manager is unavailable will need to step in and
work in that department in their absence
- Senior leadership experience in Front Office/Housekeeping is
preferred
- Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate the team
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Excellent communication skills (spoken and written)
- Ability to work under pressure -If you cover these
