define our future. As the HSE Manager, you will be responsible for
development, coordination, and implementation of the Corporate
Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) Program at our corporate
office and provide HSE oversight for all company locations. In this
role, you also will provide administrative liaison and coordination
with Human Resources and Risk Management on matters pertaining to
the HSE Program. Detailed knowledge of OSHA, state, and local
occupational safety program requirements are critical for
establishing a robust corporate infrastructure and environment of
continuous HSE improvement. Additional Responsibilities:
- Monitor the corporate safety management program implementation
with regards to effective implementation of loss prevention
activities and adherence to federal, state, and local contractual
safety requirements.
- Investigate any incidents involving injury, property loss or
near-misses. Communicate with Corporate leadership and program
staff regarding these matters, assist in identifying root causes
and lessons learned, and oversee the implementation of corrective
action plans as appropriate.
- Coordinate with contracts/program staff to ensure that adequate
safety resources and PPE are available and used properly to support
project safety.
- Track safety performance metrics on a monthly basis and
document corporate activities, incident information, and safety
metrics to support monthly reports as needed.
- Be available to program staff on an on-call basis to provide
technical assistance and consultation related to observed safety
issues.
- Visit Aerodyne contracts/projects on a regular basis with the
respective program and staff to observe safety measures, conditions
& practices and make recommendations as appropriate to improve
safety.
- Ensure that an overall written Corporate Safety Program and
documentation is developed and maintained and implemented
- Look for opportunities to enhance safety training in hazard
recognition, PPE, etc. Arrange for formal safety training for
Aerodyne personnel as needed. Job Requirements: Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in safety, industrial hygiene, engineering or
related field
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrated professional experience in a
similar leadership role in managing Aerospace or Engineering type
environment Health and Safety
- Demonstrated experience as change agent
- Demonstrated and successful experience in making objective and
positive improvements in safety
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills to engage with
multiple stakeholders including owners, subcontractors, customers,
and company personnel, etc. Desired Qualifications:
