has an opening for a System Engineering Functional Homeroom Section
Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This
position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.The selected
candidate will manage a section of 10-12 Modeling & Simulation
Engineers and report to the System Architecture, Modeling and
Simulation Department Manager on a 15% allocation. The selected
candidate will be responsible for the direct supervision/management
of the staff, providing objective-oriented direction to
subordinates utilizing management guidelines & general policies,
and maintain a technical statement of work for the remaining 85% of
the work week. This is a full-time, dual-role position. The
technical statement of work will be part of the System Analysis &
Simulation (SA&S) team that provides Operational Analysis and
Virtual Simulation support to divisions across Aeronautics Systems
sector.Management responsibilities include: planning and program
performance addressing cost, schedule, technical performance, and
quality of a system/mission thread work packages, subsystems, or
related group of work packages or across multiple interrelated
programs with full responsibility for all aspects of technical
performance on large system development-type contracts, large
delivery orders or mid-size technical services-type
contracts.Essential Functions: Conducts weekly flow down meetings
with assigned staff Attends weekly flow down meetings with the
Department Manager Supports staffing needs as assigned Conducts
goal planning, performance evaluations merit budgeting Provides
technical guidance related to process and training to staffThe
selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment

Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
discipline and 9 years engineering experience OR a Master's Degree
in a STEM discipline and 7 years of engineering experienceRecent
demonstrated knowledge of Systems Engineering practicesRecent
demonstrated knowledge of modeling & simulation tools such as
MATLAB and AVSIM to perform operational analysis and/or virtual
simulation.Candidate must have an active U.S. Government security
clearance at the DoD Secret or Top Secret level.Candidate must be
able to obtain and maintain special program access.Proficiency in
the use of the Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft
Project.Preferred Qualifications:Active, In-scope DoD Top Secret or
SCI clearanceAdvanced STEM DegreeExperience modeling large, complex
systems with multiple developers.Previous people leadership
experience.Experience in the military aerospace development
environment.Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the
ability to interface with all levels of employees and

eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual
