part of a diverse and hardworking team of engineers you will be
responsible for creating a company that creates rockets, both
managing and leading teams in the hands-on design, development, and
testing of various spaceflight Pressurization Fluid Systems.You
will have integral responsibility for employee performance through
professional development, mentoring, technical guidance, and
development of training programs.Technical leadership will be
required as a non-advocate Subject Matter Expert ensuring product
excellence through program design reviews and failure
investigations.This position reports directly to the Sr. Manager of
Pressurization Fluid Systems inside of the New Glenn business
unitYou will need a proven ability to develop, execute, and improve
technical processes in the design and development cycle of rockets
by formulating and implementing preventative and corrective
actions. Ability to lead and mentor teammates in a highly
collaborative environment is essential. Passion for our mission is
required!Qualifications:
- Minimum B.S. degree in engineering or science (aerospace,
mechanical, chemical, nuclear, or physics desired)
- 2+ years managing technical teams and/or leading functional
groups of employees
- 5+ years of aerospace industry or related field experience
- Strong technical fundamentals in fluids, thermodynamics, heat
transfer, and stress analysis
- Experience with cryogenic components and aerospace testing
campaigns
- Familiarity with data analysis and data processing
- Proven track record in developing teams
- Ability to work in a cooperative, fast paced, and dynamic
environment
- Strong project management and leadership skills focused on
delivering results
- Strong supplier management and conflict resolution
experience
- Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication
skills
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional
relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident
(current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as
a refugee or granted asylumDesired:
- Experience managing personnel, budgets, or test resources
- Solid understanding of rocket engines and components
- Experience with discrepancy reports, failure investigations,
and corrective actions
- Familiarity with rocket engine system operations, verification
