Manager, Communications & EngagementWe are a diverse team of

influences the pace, fullness, and ultimate success of any new
technology product or transformation effort. Advanced
communications knowledge and skills are required in this role to
deliver innovative, compelling, high-quality communications across
a variety of formats and channels. As a member of the
organizational change management (OCM) team, within the Enterprise
Technology (ET) function, this role includes:
- Leading strategic communication and engagement implementation
approach for internal and external audiences.
- Supporting ETteams in developing high-quality communication and
engagement solutions by leveraging functional expertise, best
practices, and knowledge of current industry/subject matter
trends.
- Delivering complex work to meet functional or program
objectives and drive efficiencies and improvements.
- Communicating maturely and intentionally in contexts that may
require negotiation and diplomacy to influence stakeholder
expectations and understanding.
- Guiding work for themselves and others to ensure proper
prioritization, quality, and accuracy and proactively address
obstacles to unblock the team.In this role, the Technology
Communications & Engagement Manager will have the following
Responsibilities:
- Establish a communications and engagement approach within
Enterprise Technology to support both internal and external
stakeholders.
- Draft and/or provide content direction for on-brand,
platform-appropriate messaging to support ET initiatives,
distilling complex concepts and subject matter into content that's
accessible to a wide range of audiences.
- Research, write, and proof content types of varying lengths and
formats.
- Interview senior leadership and subject matter experts to
develop ideas, collect content, and distill relevant and compelling
insights.
- Collaborate with ET teams and OCM colleagues on messaging and
creative projects - from conception to distribution.
- Coordinate with internal design resources and external creative
agencies/suppliers to provide direction for creative/collateral
materials.
- Uphold the Blue Origin brand voice and tone across all
work.
- Quickly develop expertise in multiple topics related to Blue
Origin's technology services, initiatives, and capabilities.
- Create and maintain project plans, budgets, and timelines.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant industry insights/trends.
- Establish mechanisms and approaches to measure and track
results of communications initiatives over time, post
implementation, to ensure the desired value propositions are
realized.Responsibilities:
- A natural storyteller with advanced verbal and written
communication skills, advanced presentation skills, strong
interview and research capabilities, and basic design skills (e.g.
able to create clean, professional PowerPoint decks for
executive-level presentations).
- Strong organizational skills; able to manage a vast array of
information, lead multiple projects/workstreams, and create
structure in ambiguous environments.
- Interacts with leaders and all levels of the organization in a
professional manner to develop authentic and trusting
relationships.
- Analyzes complex problems and their context to understand
potential risks and solutions and identify the best path
forward.
- Experiments with new approaches and takes risks; fails fast and
applies learnings to new experiences.
- Implements innovative thinking and approaches and encourages
innovative thinking with teams and/or direct reports.Experience:
Internal Communications, External Communications, Stakeholder
EngagementQualifications:
- Related field degree; 5+ years of experience in internal and
external communications; Portfolio of excellent writing samples;
Familiarity with technology or aerospace industries is a plus.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional
relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
