Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is currently hiring a Systems Engineering Manager 2 (Section Manager Project Engineering) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This positions will support the Program Integration Baseline Management team within the Strike Division. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Lead a diverse organization of 13+ engineers executing program baseline management
Program/Product baseline change integration across functions to include: technical, cost, & schedule
Facilitate risk, issue, and opportunity management
Proposal support, planning and leading or participating in development projects
Conduct employee performance analysis, staffing, and problem resolution
Responsible for the strategic implementation of skills and labor mix; employee development; mentoring; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures
Interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant technical matters requiring coordination between organizations to ensure successful task completion and customer satisfaction

To learn more about our hiring process for manager positions, please view our "Selecting the Best Qualified Managers" video: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 9 years combined experience in any of the following: Program Management; Program Integration Lead, Engineering, Product Support, Project Management Lead or similar related aerospace or military experience OR Master's Degree (with a BS in STEM) and 7 years combined experience in any of the following: Program Management; Program Integration Lead, Engineering, Product Support, Project Management Lead or similar related aerospace or military experience
Must have an active DoD Secret (or higher) clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
Prior experience in formal Leadership in a Manager Role or as a lead Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in a STEM field
Current SAP/SAR access
Previous experience as a Risk Manager, Program Integrator, or Baseline Manager
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
" Salary Range: $123,900 USD - $185,900 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
