This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.The selected candidate will lead a team of Mission Engineering - Operations Analysis & Virtual Simulation professionals assigned across MAD COE programs and will report to the Specialty Engineering Department Manager on a 15% allocation. The selected candidate must currently have and continue to provide their own remaining 85% work scope.Among other responsibilities, the successful candidate will:Set operating objectives and provide guidance and mentoring to assigned employeesProvide assistance to programs on staffing and Mission Engineering processesDevelop and maintain assigned talent within the sectionManage the performance management process for assigned employeesReview and make recommendations for promotions and special assignmentsEnsure the assigned workforce is properly trained for successful achievement of program goalsProvide first-level resolution of personnel issues according to company processes and proceduresInteract with equivalent level managers and programs to maintain performanceThe selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.As a leader, you always act with integrity, and the highest ethical standards characterize everything you do. You deliver excellence, strive for continuous improvement and respond vigorously to change.To learn more about our hiring process for manager positions, please view our "Selecting the Best Qualified Managers" video: www.northropgrumman.com/SQMVideoBasic Qualifications:Must have a Bachelor of Science degree AND 9 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering OR a Master's degree AND 7 years of related professional/military experience in EngineeringMust have an active DoD Top Secret (or higher) clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.Experience in activities related to analysis, modeling and simulation relating to Mission EngineeringPreferred Qualifications:Advanced STEM Degree in EngineeringCurrent access to Strike Division Special Access Programs (SAP).Experience leading study efforts in support of Mission Engineering, Operations Research, Affordability Analysis, Operations Analysis, Mission Analysis, Supportability Analysis, or Systems Analysis objectives. Scope of such experience could include problem definition, success and exit criteria definition, organization of approach, method selection, method development, method verification and validation, analysis, product development and reporting.Experience with modeling and simulation.Military airpower experience (air crew operations, ground station crew operations, battle management and electronic warfare and/or information operations).Knowledge of airpower strategy, missions, scenarios, threats, capabilities, Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), and integration.Knowledge of systems featuring manned and unmanned platforms.Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management"Salary Range: $123,900 USD - $185,900 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
