Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector has an opening for an Electronics Engineering Manager 3 (RF Sensors & Effects Subsystems Lead) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This leadership role is located in Melbourne, FL. Key Responsibilities: Lead a team of RF sensor SMEs and other assigned IPT disciplines reporting to the Mission Systems Director/IPT lead.
Work with the Chief Mission Architect and the Mission Systems SEIT Leads to implement the mission systems design architecture and integration of all required RF Sensors & Effects (radars, IFF systems, electronic warfare, radar altimeters, etc.) Subsystems.
Responsible for installed RF sensor performance while meeting other IPT air vehicle requirements (e.g. signatures, weight, maintainability, etc.); formally identify and manage risks and opportunities; develop and manage all technology maturation / risk reduction activities; serve as the Supplier Management Team (SMT) lead; and be required with coordination with other IPTs as identified.
Lead the team to analyze the requirements, perform necessary trades; write RFIs/RFQs/RFPs; write specifications and statements of work (SOWs) with minimal oversight all in conjunction with GSC; identify potential vendor products; technically evaluate vendor products (performance, cost, schedule and risk); recommend down selections; manage selected vendors; support capture activities to include writing sections of a Technical Volume; developing and integrating sections of the program Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS); researching and leveraging past performance to develop and defend the Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for the Cost Volume; and integrate candidate vendor RF sensor products into the overall air vehicle.
Plan, work, and status within a budget; develop, review, and present materials to senior management and Customers; work across IPTs for a system solution; and provide technical and managerial oversight to ensure high quality deliverable products (e.g., CDRLs, test models, manufacturing plans, etc.).
Must have previous experience in working with and managing suppliers.

To learn more about our hiring process for manager positions, please view our "Selecting the Best Qualified Managers" video: Basic Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 15 years of related professional/military experience in engineering that includes a background in RF Subsystems development (design, build, I&T) particularly in radars, electronic warfare and aperture/antenna design; OR a Master's degree AND 13 years of related professional/military experience in engineering that includes a background in RF Subsystems development (design, build, I&T) particularly in radars, electronic warfare and aperture/antenna design.
Must have experience integrating payloads or communications subsystems into an airborne platform.
Must have interest in new business development efforts.
Must have strong technical writing and communication skills along with flexibility to evolving program environments.
Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher that has been granted or renewed within the last 6 years or is currently under continuous evaluation.
Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR). Preferred Qualifications: Experience in leading a diverse team and working in a collaborative Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment
Experience with aircraft design and integration of relevant mission systems
Experience in sensor development, processing, integration and test
Experience in antenna/aperture design, build, integration and test
Experience in developing and presenting technical documentation and briefings to the customer and organization leadership
Experience in new business development and proposal management, from capture planning to proposal delivery
Active in-scope Top Secret clearance with current or previous Special Program Access (PAR)
Willing and able to travel as needed by business requirements
" Salary Range: $147,700 USD - $221,500 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
