Northrop Grumman is looking for a System Engineering Manager 2 who will be responsible for the direct supervision & management of the System Integration staff. This leadership position is located in Melbourne, FL. The successful candidate will: Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget
Perform technical planning, cost and risk analyses for total systems
Lead data-driven Systems Engineering on new development programs
Be responsible for providing objective-oriented direction to team members utilizing management guidelines & general policies.
Will demonstrate full working knowledge of Systems Engineering procedures and practices
Balance staffing resources among programs and prioritize assignments based on program needs
Coordination of cost estimates
Work with functional homeroom in goal planning and performance evaluation
Coordination of integrated test activities for system build-up and manages software releases
Evaluate test requirements to ensure completion of test phase
Assist with sell-off of system requirements to customer
Assist with resolution of discrepancy reports

To learn more about our hiring process for manager positions, please view our "Selecting the Best Qualified Managers" video: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 9 years of engineering experience including a background in systems engineering OR Master's Degree (with a BS in STEM) and 7 years of engineering experience including a background in systems engineering
Active DoD Secret or higher clearance and possesses the ability to maintain it throughout employment.
Experience with system integration and management of hardware/software configurations
Prior experience as a lead or manager Preferred Qualifications: Proven record of effective communication and presentation skills
Experience in all aspects of the engineering development lifecycle
Knowledge of Navy aircraft acquisition processes
Familiarity with Agile Systems Engineering processes
Experience implementing modern engineering practices on legacy programs
" Salary Range: $123,900 USD - $185,900 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
