This leadership role is located in Melbourne, FL.This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is ambitious, takes ownership of hard problems, has vision, and will strive toward a solution, ultimately owning the responsibility of implementation!Key Responsibilities:Maintain current technical statement of work (SOW) with current IPT (80%), as well as the responsibility of leading a team (20%).Responsibilities may include development, production, and field support of Avionics equipment, which can include Communication, Navigation, Data link, Computer, Network, Antenna, SIGINT, EW, Sensor and Payload sub-systems.Provide team members with day-to-day communications, operating objectives, technical guidance, performance assessment and/or feedback, mentoring and career counseling, professional development and coaching, employee rewards and recognition.Evaluate current program requirements to ensure the team is properly staffed optimize contract performanceMeet indirect budget targets, interpreting higher-level guidance for implementation within the organization.Work with functional department to ensure to team members are properly trained for successful achievement of program goalsManage training opportunities and budget allocations, as well as participation in tool, process, and metric initiatives is requiredMay provide first-level resolution of personnel issues according to company processes and proceduresAs a leader, you always act with integrity, and the highest ethical standards characterize everything you do. You deliver excellence, strive for continuous improvement and respond vigorously to change.To learn more about our hiring process for manager positions, please view our "Selecting the Best Qualified Managers" video: www.northropgrumman.com/SQMVideoBasic Qualifications:Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 9 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in Engineering, OR a Master's degree AND 7 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in Engineering, OR a PhD AND 4 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in Engineering.Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance or higher that was granted or renewed in the last 6 years or is under continuous evaluation.Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Master's Degree in STEM fieldKnowledge of Functional Homeroom processes (e.g., Staffing, Processes, Metrics, Training)Strong technical trouble-shooting skillsPossess technical discipline credibility to provide "backstop" support to programs as required on behalf of team members.Experience leading a team of diverse individuals toward a common objective is desired.Demonstrated mentoring and coaching skills.Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and managementStrong team-building/collaboration skills; demonstrated ability to build diverse/inclusive teams with engaged team members.Active DoD Top Secret Security ClearanceCurrent Special Program Access (PAR)"Salary Range: $123,900 USD - $185,900 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
