Job Description:
We are looking for an Associate Medical Director to join our
Medical and Patient Communications (MPC) business unit within
IQVIA. MPC offers a full suite of medical communications services.
This role will focus on providing medical leadership and strategy
across a range of scientific services including scientific
platforms, medical plans, publications plans, publications,
advisory boards, steering committees, medical information,
real-world evidence and market access communications.
We are passionate about producing clear and impactful medical
communications for health care professionals and patients. We
harness the power of IQVIAs healthcare data, domain expertise,
transformative technology, and advanced analytics to drive
healthcare communications forward.
The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in a medical or
scientific discipline, plus extensive experience in communication,
review, and medical direction in a variety of therapeutic areas
within Medical Information environments. We value proactive
thinkers who have the ability and desire to work in multifunctional
teams to elevate our medical information offering and create
innovative communications solutions.
As a member of the Medical Strategy Team, you will:
Serve as a scientific lead, providing in-depth medical insights and
guidance on a variety of accounts, including large multi-faceted
communications programs and niche offerings.
Act as internal and external strategic and scientific lead in the
development and delivery of proposals/pitches and see this strategy
through into program execution.
Oversee and review material created by medical writers and other
team members to ensure delivery of high-quality content that meets
the needs and objectives of the client and target audience.
Lead meetings with relevant stakeholders, presenting
scientific/clinical concepts and facilitating discussions as
required. Take an active role in the development and facilitation
of workshops and expert advisory meetings.
Stay abreast of new industry/healthcare directions and trends to
identify opportunities and challenges for clients and IQVIA.
Collaborate with colleagues across the IQVIA organization to
develop innovative solutions.
Working closely with account teams to lead on project
specifications, cost estimates, compliance with industry standards
and practices, proactive planning, and problem solving.
Requirements:
Graduate level degree in a scientific or health-related discipline
is required.
7 years client-facing experience providing medical strategy and
direction on a variety of medical communications services including
medical affairs, publication planning, HEOR, or other medical
communications setting is Required
Medical Communications Agency Experience Preferred but not
required.
Proactive thinker with the ability and desire to work in
multifunctional teams to create innovative communications
solutions.
