Job Description:
The Project Manager II serves as the on-site Gilbane manager
responsible for supporting the overall direction, completion and
financial outcome of a construction management project;
supervises/mentors the project staff to include multiple Project
Engineers and Superintendents.Project Manager II typical
responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the
following:Provide leadership in motivating and mentoring the
project team and maintain a positive work environment to help
develop Gilbane talentManage the project using established project
controls and proceduresPerform constructability and coordination
reviewsCommunicate with Gilbane leadership, owners, architects and
subcontractors related to project risk, timetables, costs/budgets,
and change managementPerform preconstruction planning, scheduling
and cost controlDevelop and maintain relationships with trade
contractors and actively engage in soliciting their participation
in bid opportunitiesBuy-out of job by determining the
subcontracting strategy for the project and preparing front-end
documents and bid processes under various project delivery
modelsPrepare monthly reports including cost, schedule, safety,
cash flow, etc. for internal and/or external use and utilize as
tools to effectively execute the workWork with accounting to review
and help prepare monthly billings for owners and tradesProvide
jobsite leadership in the area of Safety and Quality, establishing
project goals with Superintendent and implementing with project
team and tradesPrepare contingency plans for potential risks,
expanding contractual services and project profitWork with Business
Development to actively support project pursuits and presentations
by providing project specific contentEXPERIENCE/EDUCATION--- BS OR
MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management--- 5-10 years
of Project Management experience on projects valued at $10-$50
million Or equivalent combination of education and experience---
K-12, Higher Education, Healthcare, Commercial and/or
Hospitality/Entertainment project experience preferredKNOWLEDGE,
SKILLS & ABILITIES--- Ability to work in a team environment and
promote collaborative engagement among all team members---
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Primavera P6, Procore, Textura,
BIM360, change management software preferred/CMiC a plusGilbane
