Job Description:

Cielo Talent is currently conducting an executive search for a Director, Support Services - Holmes Regional Medical Center on behalf of our client, Health First located in Brevard County-Melbourne, FL. Health First is the only integrated delivery network (IDN) in Central Florida.

Position Summary:

To be fully engaged in providing Quality/No Harm, Customer Service and Stewardship by
providing administration, direction, coordination, management, and leadership to the assigned
areas of responsibility within the hospital. The Director Support Services is responsible for
organizing, planning, controlling, and coordinating resources to provide quality patient care in a
cost-effective manner in accordance with the Health First Mission. Provides on-site leadership
and has operational responsibility for areas including Dietary, Environmental, General Stores,
Materials Management, Plant Operations and Safety & Security. Serves on advisory panels,
boards, and/or committees of health-related organizations/agencies throughout the IDN as
appropriate. Service line leadership of an assigned area of specialty (may be required).

Primary Accountabilities:

Acts under the direction of the Vice President of Clinical Operations keeping them informed on the progress and status of departmental objectives and action plans.
Responsible for planning, implementation, and evaluation of goals/objectives for all departments of responsibility.
Meets regularly with management team to discuss the progress and status of departmental objectives and action plans.
Promotes positive, effective communications and multi-disciplinary collaboration to ensure a coordinated approach to healthcare delivery.
Holds teams accountable for customer experience metrics, ensuring services, supplies, cleanliness, and internal and external aesthetics exceed expectations.
Creates and maintains a positive work environment, maximizing the contributions of the management team through skills development and personal growth.
Creates an environment where associates are respected, valued, recognized, and empowered to do their best work.
Plans, directs, and supervises all technical aspects of departments of responsibility.
Provides oversight and evaluation of programs and services, striving to be an industry Leader.
Provides oversight and keeps VP of Clinical Operations informed regarding maintenance of existing equipment and such contractual services as may be required; recommends action on equipment modification, new equipment, and essential construction within the departments.
Assists in the planning for all new departmental facilities, including equipment and personnel needs.
Ensures assigned departments are prepared and maintain documentation to pass regulatory agency inspections, including TJC, AHCA.
Participates in facility contract management through review and escalation for revision, renewal or termination.
Represents hospital as appropriate in its relationships with major customers, providers, suppliers, competitors, government agencies, professional societies, and similar groups.
Coordinates departmental purchasing and is responsible for stock level, storage, and utilization.
Coordinates resources with an understanding of patient care needs, projected patient census and changes in healthcare technology.
Reviews Operating Budget monthly and reports abnormal findings to VP of Clinical Operations.
Participates in the development of hospital strategic plan and provides direction in all areas of responsibility to ensure continued growth, increase revenues and operating income consistent with goal for the fiscal year.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Master's Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration or related
Work Experience: At least 5 years of leadership experience preferably in healthcare

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of associates and executive leadership
Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to continually assess and prioritize accordingly
Excellent organizational skills
