Vice President of Corporate Development
SUMMARY
This position is with a a multi-state, private equity backed service organization. The VP of Corporate Development will be responsible for directing key aspects of the Company's acquisition efforts, including creating acquisition and development strategies and criteria, creating a replicable internal process around M&A, building relationships with sellers and intermediaries, conducting financial analyses, negotiating transaction documents, and leading due diligence efforts. The Vice President of Corporate Development will be a key strategic partner of the CEO and CFO.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead overall corporate development, project management, mergers and acquisition, and integration activities for the business in conjunction with the CEO, CFO and Operations teams:
Develop an objective, consistent, disciplined approach to evaluating potential acquisitions and business combinations
Manage and execute strategic process/operational initiatives as developed in conjunction with the senior team especially as it relates to acquired entities (e.g., pricing, cost savings, cross-selling initiatives, new service lines, etc.)
Drive outcomes cross-functionally to build consensus and execute to meet deadlines and targeted results
Analyze addressable markets
Actively identify and source acquisition targets, including building relationships with brokers and building a deal pipeline consistent with the company's strategic objectives
"Sell" the company's story to the marketplace, building rapport and credibility with business owners
Create a business case and valuation model for each potential transaction
Identify and quantify synergy opportunities with potential acquisitions; create action plans to drive synergies post close
Provide/lead cross-functional diligence activities on the targets
Structure and negotiate deals, working with the corporate leadership team to gain approval from the Board
Participate in post-acquisition integration initiatives

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate as strategic partner to CEO:

Inform M&A focus through development of market research and strategy
Work effectively with financial, sales/operational personnel, PE sponsor, and third parties
Work with functional leaders to assess and prioritize ideas and ensure clear timing and ownership is established for all projects pursued
Travel to M&A targets and industry conferences.

Job Requirements:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS/KEY ATTRIBUTES
Solid business acumen, ideally with previous experience in services focused businesses, consulting, and/or private equity ownership,
Demonstrated experience as successful influential leader across matrix teams
Analytical thinking and problem solving skills, with acute attention to detail, accuracy and accountability balanced with sound business judgment.
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Judgment and discretion; integrity
Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner to managers and executives
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners
Appropriate expertise in financial modeling and written presentations including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
