Northrop Grumman's Manned Aircraft Design Center of Excellence located in Melbourne Florida has an immediate opening for an experienced engineer specializing in creating and interpreting aircraft fluid subsystem analysis products. These subsystems include, but are not limited to, Environmental Control Systems, Fuel Systems, and Hydraulic Systems. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to develop, analyze, modify, trouble-shoot and validate aircraft subsystem performance simulation models related to gas and liquid based systems. This role requires an individual with demonstrated team leadership abilities, as well as the ability to perform the aforementioned subsystem analysis. The specific role will require the candidate to leverage their experience in one or more of the analysis areas to lead activities associated with the development of Subsystems Analysis Tools, including the maturation of requirements, documentation of engineering use cases, validation and testing of tool functionality, creation of training/best practice documentation, and coordination of user support. The successful candidate will provide status to Engineering Leadership on tool development, performance, and usage metrics. This position will be permanently located in Melbourne, FL. Some travel is required. MELENG vehicleeng Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with a minimum of 9 years experience (7 years with a Master's degree) directly related to aircraft fluid subsystem development and analysis, as well as proven engineering team leadership capabilities. Experience with Teamcenter, AMESim, MATLAB/Simulink, NX Thermal, Thermal Desktop, or industry equivalent is required. The ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance is required. Preferred Qualifications: Basic Qualifications plus a Master of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or Technical Management, or an MBA, as well as proven supplier management skills and significant AMESim experience in an aircraft subsystem development environment.
