Systems has an opening for a Stress Engineer / Principal Stress
Engineer - Lab Structural Analyst to join our team of qualified,
diverse individuals on our Test and Evaluation organization. This
role is located in Melbourne, FL . This role may be filled at the
Base OR Principal level based on the qualifications listed, below
Northrop Grumman Lab Design and Infrastructure group is looking for
an experienced stress analyst to perform analysis on test
equipment, structures, instrumentation, and air vehicle components.
The stress analyst is responsible for the detailed Finite Element
Modeling and structural analysis of precision and complex test
articles, and systems that primarily support Northrop Grumman’s
advanced air vehicles. Key Responsibilities: Interpreting and
developing requirements and analytical models Performing stress and
load analysis, documentation and reporting Presentation of analysis
to ensure all components satisfy program needs We offer flexible

Basic Qualifications (Base): Must have a Bachelor of Science degree
in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline
AND 2 years of related professional/military experience, OR a
Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 0 years of
related professional/military experience, OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 0
years of related professional/military experience Must have an
active DoD Secret clearance or higher clearance (with a background
investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently
enrolled into Continuous Evaluation). Must have the ability to
obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to
the commencement of employment Must have knowledge of FEMAP/NASTRAN
and NX FEA software Must have knowledge of classical stress
analysis hand calculation & equations Must have experience using
tools such as CATIA V5, SolidWorks, NX, AutoCAD, or similar design
software tools Basic Qualifications (Principal): Must have a

professional/military experience, OR a Master of Science degree in
a STEM discipline AND 3 years of related professional/military
experience, OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 1 year of related

analysis Demonstrated proficiency with NASTRAN software
Demonstrated proficiency with FEMAP or NX CAE software Demonstrated
strong technical writing & interpersonal skills, and the ability to
communicate and present technical material to various stakeholders
Understanding of material fatigue Understanding of Dynamic
Analysis, including shock and vibration Composite material
experience Experience with additive manufacturing Primary Level
Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00 Secondary Level Salary
Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00 The above salary range represents a
general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of
factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and
responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience,
education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the
position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift
differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as
well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in
Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term
Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of
benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability
insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off
(PTO) for vacation and/or personal business. The application period
