Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Principal Reliability Engineer or a Sr. Principal Reliability Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Melbourne, FL , operating on our 9/80 schedule meaning you will get every Friday off. This position has no opportunity for remote or Hybrid work.The Engineer will be -assigned work in the Product Support organization performing System Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) Engineering Analysis. Candidate will be responsible for establishing, monitoring, and verifying subsystem R&M performance requirements for all design changes and new development efforts to ensure that R&M program requirements are achieved. The primary responsibility of the position will be reliability, maintainability, and testability. -"This requisition may be filled as either a Principal Reliability Engineer or -a Sr. Principal Reliability Engineer." Essential Functions: Perform R&M allocations and predictions.Develop Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) analysisPerform Built in Test (BIT) testability analysisSupport the development of teams in the investigation of issuesFamiliarity with Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)Experience with Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS)Experience with maintainability demonstrationsExperience with Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT), Reliability Growth Testing (RGT), and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS)Liaison with Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and suppliers for the R&M of assigned subsystems Basic Qualifications Reliability Engineer: Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) with 5 years' relevant experience; OR a Masters' Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) with 3 years' experience; OR 0 Years with PhDMust have experience in Reliability and Maintainability Engineering discipline.Must have the ability to obtain DOD Secret Security Clearance or higher.Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable time as determined by the company to meet business needs. Basic Qualifications Principal Reliability Engineer: Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) with 9 years' relevant experience; OR a Masters in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) with 7 years' relevant experience; OR PhD in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) with 0 Years 'relevant experience; OR 0 Years with PhDMust have experience in Reliability and Maintainability Engineering discipline.Must have the ability to obtain DOD Secret Security Clearance or higher.Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable time as determined by the company to meet business needs. Salary Range: $82,000 - $123,000 Salary Range 2: $101,600 - $152,400 Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
