Description: Job Title: Specialist, Project Engineering Job ID: IMS6 Job Location: Anaheim, California or Cape Canaveral, Florida Job Description: L3Harris has an immediate opening for a Project Engineering Specialist for RTS Systems in Anaheim, CA. The ideal candidate for this position will be proficient in most aspects of the project engineering process, will have direct experience meeting technical, budget and schedule targets, and will be comfortable coordinating and leading small teams. Essential Functions:

• Serve as Project Engineer overseeing the engineering roles in the development, integration, fielding and operational support of various flight test instrumentation systems used to track and collect data from missile flights.
• Work consists of making moderate to substantial improvements of processes, systems, solutions or products to enhance performance of job area
• Assist in schedule development, budget estimation, and Earned Value Management reporting.
• Perform Project Engineer duties on mature systems that require sustaining oversight.
• Lead, direct and review the work of project team to accomplish near-term operational plans and results.
• Participate in the preparation of material for design reviews (drawings and slides) and present during customer design reviews.
• Support innovation solutions to complex problems prepare pros and cons for management evaluation.
• Contribute to proposal activities. Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and a minimum of 4 yrs prior experience or Graduate degree and 2 years of related work experience
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in project development (Minimum 2 years with a MS degree)
  • Minimum 2 years' related experience with project scheduling and development.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. Preferred Additional Skills:
    • Ability to interpret drawings, schematics and cabling diagrams
    • Ability and willingness to travel (typically less than 30 days per year)
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Demonstrated leadership, communication and interpersonal skills Please be aware many of our positions require the ability to obtain a security clearance. In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $83,500 - $155,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
